Holiday Trash Collection
Trash pickups on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Labor Day or Christmas Day will operate on a one day delay. On other holidays, there is normal pickup. The latest holiday trash collection schedule can be found on American Disposal Service’s website.
Christmas trees are collected on the regular yard waste pickup day. Remove all tinsel and decorations from trees and do not place trees in plastic bags.
Please call our customer support at 703.368.0500 if you have any questions.
Reminders for Winter
Check ADS’ Website to see if collection is suspended due to weather.
After the holiday season, Christmas trees will be collected on Fridays. We ask that all tinsel and decorations are removed. Please do not place trees in plastic bags.
Safety in your community is ADS’s primary concern. Roads and/or areas which are deemed unsafe due to snow or ice will be suspended for collection. If suspension occurs, services will resume on the next regularly scheduled collection day.
What is accepted in Regular Trash?
Everyday generated trash is household trash, for example, kitchen and bathroom trash. For more information on Household Hazardous Waste contact the Loudoun County Division of Waste Management.
What is accepted in the Recycling collection?
ADS now uses Single Stream Recycling, a new technology that allows participants to place all of their recyclables into one container. This type of recycling eliminates the need to separate glass, paper, cardboard, aluminum, steel, etc. into separate bins; which, in turn eliminates the necessity of multiple collection containers.
